However, this is more than just a topic for us; it is a very cool cross-curricular inquiry on how we might ensure accurate perceptions of the homeless community. We are making connections between English Language Arts, Health and Career, and Social Studies through reading, collaboration, and connecting with the community. Comparing an excerpt from "Anne Frank: A Diary of a Young Girl" and a newspaper article on the Holocaust helped us better understand the pros and cons of primary and secondary sources.
