This week, we have been working on an art project for Remembrance Day. We started by using watercolour and plastic wrap to create a textured background. Then, we used tissue paper, paint, and cups to create different textured paper in tints and shades of red.
Today, we took all of these elements and put them together to make beautiful mixed media poppies. Tomorrow we will share them at the Remembrance Day Assembly to honour all those who have fought for our freedom.
We are a class of Grade 6/7 students in Surrey, BC, Canada. This blog is one way we will share our learning with the world!
